| Standard Material Transfer Agreement (SMTA) for germplasm in the Multilateral System | ||
You can receive seed of Oryza species from us only if you agree to the terms and conditions of the Standard Material Transfer Agreement (SMTA). NOTE: you can agree to the SMTA either as an individual in your own right or in the name of an organization. The way you accept is important for you, so please make sure you choose the appropriate way! You may wish to consult our FAQ Am I authorized to accept the terms and conditions of the SMTA? If you want to know more, your definitive reference should be the Treaty web site, or the Governing Body of the Treaty. However, you may find the following (non-definitive!) information useful:
What are my rights and obligations under the SMTA? Is my country a Party to the Treaty? Does it matter? Shrink-wrap? Click-wrap? Signed? What's that? PGRFA Under Development? What's that? Does it matter? Why does IRRI have to use a Material Transfer Agreement? How does IRRI have to implement the SMTA?

Before you request seed from us, please read the text of the SMTA template in your preferred language, and then check whether you can agree to its terms and conditions. We are not permitted to send you seed until you have told us that you understand and agree the SMTA. |
