Where do I sign?

You don't!

At least, you don't unless you really need to.

The Governing Body allows us to choose one of three different ways of indicating acceptance of the SMTA. Only one of these three ways requires a signature.

IRRI prefers not to sign because that involves extra bureaucracy and delays. If we use the signed version of the SMTA, we have to print a hardcopy of the SMTA to be signed by both you and IRRI before we can send you the seed. IRRI prefers the so-called "shrink-wrap" type of agreement because it is the easiest, least bureaucratic and fastest method - you just tell us you accept the SMTA and we ship the seed to you with minimal delay.

If you really need to sign the SMTA and are prepared to accept the delay, let us know and we will prepare the version with a place to sign.
